The novel "The curious incident of the dog in the night time" written by Mark Haddon is about Christopher Boone who has the
Aspergerīs Syndrome.
He lives with his father in Swindon and believes that his mother is dead. One day Christopher
finds a dead dog in the neighbourhood and he wants to know who killed it. Then Christopher starts to do some
detective work and writes a book about what he finds out. His father does not want Christopher to do that and takes
the note book away. After searching for it Christopher finds it one day together with letters from his dead mum
which she has written to him after she was gone.
Christopher reads them and finds out that his mother is still alive and living in London. Then another shocking
incident happens. His father confesses that he has killed the dog. So the boy runs away and decides to live with his
mother. After an exhausting journey to London he arrives at his mother's home and she is happy to see him.
His father finds Christopher at his ex-wife's home and they start arguing with each other. Christopher does not
want to life with his father anymore, because he lied to him and killed a dog. (...)
